Infrastructure Networks Raises Funding from Altira Group

Houston, Texas, United States, October 5, 2012

Company Secures New Capital to Support Growing Communication Needs of Oil and Gas Industry Throughout North America
Infrastructure Networks, Inc, a Houston, Texas-based provider of broadband wireless networks to oil and gas and other critical infrastructure industries, has announced that it has raised a new round of funding from Altira Group LLC, a leading oil and gas investor in technology and advantaged service companies.

Founded in March of 2011, Infrastructure Networks has been rapidly expanding its holdings by acquiring licensed 700 MHz broadband spectrum. To date those holdings cover more than 150,000 square miles of the Bakken Shale in North Dakota, the Niobrara Shale in Colorado, the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin in Texas, as well as the Texas panhandle, parts of Eastern New Mexico and Kern County, California. In July of this year, the company announced that it had deployed five LTE (Long-Term Evolution) wireless broadband sites, establishing a firm presence in the Permian Basin area of West Texas. These are the first LTE sites to be exclusively dedicated to the needs of Critical Infrastructure entities, such as oil and gas exploration and production companies, and their launch makes Infrastructure Networks one of only a handful of companies, including Verizon, AT&T and Metro PCS, to operate an LTE network in North America.

“This funding will allow Infrastructure Networks to continue the rapid deployment of services within our spectrum holdings, and further expand our networks already in place in high demand areas such as the Permian Basin,” stated Infrastructure Networks CEO Stan Hughey. “We are very pleased that Altira recognized the value our company is bringing to this currently underserved market,” he continued.

“Infrastructure Networks has rapidly established itself as a superior wireless broadband solution for the replacement of traditional private narrowband and satellite communications technologies for Critical Infrastructure entities within its service areas,” added Sean Ebert, a Principal at Altira Group and Infrastructure Networks Board Member.
